GOD'S PROPOSITION: Part 2

In my previous article, I mentioned how the people who accepted and expected the coming of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ on earth, actually rejected Him when they finally met Him.

Now we will look at why He was rejected.

WHY WAS JESUS REJECTED?

1) UNBELIEF: The Jews argued with His existence, they argued with His teachings. They couldn't make sense of God's Proposition standing before them. They couldn't believe that JESUS CHRIST was the first proposition God presented to them through the prophets. So, they discredited His miracles, (John 10:22-42).

Now, in this present age, a lot of people are still finding it hard to swallow or accept the existence of Jesus Christ, they still argue with His teachings, they still doubt His miracles, that is still happening, this very moment.

A lot of Christains who even claim to believe in Him still find it hard to obey and follow His commandments here on earth. The truth is that, even in this present time, man is still rejecting Jesus Christ, God's Proposition to Mankind.

2) ASSUMPTION: There's a lot of Assumptions going on, on who God truly is, what He is capable of doing and how He does His things from time memorial till now.

The Jews assumed that God will send His son from a royal or an Elite family in Judah. Since the prophecy states that "He would come from the lineage of King David, (Isaiah 11:1-5, Isaiah 11:10, 2 Samuel 7:12-14, Jeremiah 23:5).

But, their assumptions failed them as God went around to do His bidding His own way which is the "Highest" way anyway. God's thoughts and ways are definitely not our ways, (Isaiah 55:8-9).

However, which ever way God carries out His plans, Did He fulfill the words of the Prophets? YES, He did, He certainly fulfilled the words of the Prophets.

God chose to use Joseph, a simple man, unknown or unpopular, with low income from David's lineage to bestow upon Him the responsibility of Fathering Jesus Christ, (the heavenly son of God, God's first son among many brethren) on earth.

Indeed, God is the only one who Qualifies the Unqualified. In the eyes of those Jews and some people reading this article today, Joseph and Mary were not qualified, right? Lol.

My advice is that we should stop assuming: "What God is doing," "When He will do it", "How will He do it "; when you assume, you prepare yourself for a fall or dissapointment.

If God has promised you anything, trust that He will bring it to pass, in His own special ways and time. Don't make up your own idea like the Jewish people did towards Jesus Christ, hence why the rejected Him because, He didn't meet their assumptions.

3) SIN: This also was and is another reason why Jesus was and is rejected then and now. Jesus teachings criticizes the way of life of some of the Jewish people then. Jesus teachings contradicts their life style, and so, instead of repenting from their evil ways in order to accept Jesus, they rather preferred to reject Him, hence continue in their sin. They chose to live in Sin rather than turning a new leaf. (Matthew 23:3-5, Luke 11:39-52, Luke 20:45-47).

Which is the same with us today, a lot of people have rejected the idea of Jesus Christ in their life because of Sin, they preferred to live in their Sin and evil lifestyle rather than repenting and accepting Jesus into their lives to save them from their Sin and from death, (Romans 8:1-2).

4)INDECISIVENESS/LUKEWARMNESS: Most times, people choose to stand as spectators rather than get involved. In Jesus era, most of the Jews who rejected Jesus did it because, some of their famous celebrities like the Royal Families, Pharisees, Saducees and Scribes were publicly rejecting Jesus and questioning His teachings (Matthew 23:13). While the onlookers felt like, if our "high and mighty" respected teachers of the law, can't seem to accept this man JESUS to be God's anticipated Son, why should I? Who I'm I to believe in Him, please, to hell with Him and His teachings.

These same people, are also, the first to arrive at wherever Jesus was preaching. When Jesus helped Peter to catch some fish, they were there. When Jesus turned water to wine, they were there. When He multiplied the five loaves of bread and two fishes, twice, they were there, and even, partook in the feasting.

These same Lukewarm and indecisive Jews were still the first to scream: CRUCIFY HIM!. They were still the ones pleaded that Barabbas, the criminal, to be released unto them while Jesus Christ (the innocent Son of God), should be hanged instead, (Matthew 27:17-26, Revelation 3:16-20).

Now, a lot of people call themselves Christians but live contrary to the teachings and ways of Jesus Christ. They are always in the Church, attending all Church activities but still live carnally. They are still indecisive of which way to go, they are lukewarm in their faith in Jesus Christ.

So, if you're indecisive and lukewarm right now in your faith and believe in Jesus Christ, then it means you are all over again rejecting and crucifying Him, like some of the Jewish people did to Him, long time ago. Repent now!

In conclusion, God has a Proposition; He proposed that, whosoever will believe in His Son Jesus Christ, will not perish in Sin but would be delivered from his Sin and be Gifted with an everlasting life (Paraphrased, John 3:16), (Romans 10:4).

Notwithstanding, God's Proposition to man didn't start and end then, it was a continuous process. God made sure that His Proposition was an ongoing deal. His Proposition stated clearly, His plan for man. And, what is that plan? "RELATIONSHIP" with man,(John 3:16) but because of Mans Sin, (Romans 8:6-10), He couldn't form that bond, hence why He sent His only begotten Son "JESUS CHRIST" to sacrifice His pure Sinless blood for the remission of Mans Sin, which is the only way, mankind can be freed from their Sin and also the only way God can relate with Man directly.

So, Jesus dying on the cross was also part of God's Proposition. Jesus accepted to play His own part of the deal by being the sacrificial lamb, (2 Corinthians 5:15).

Now, this is the deal, Jesus is only going to save those who believe in Him to be God's Son and accept to follow His ways. They ones who believe and obey His commandments are the people the blood sacrifice on the cross of Calvary will save from their Sin and from death (Romans 8:2). Then after, a special gift (Ephesians 2:8), will be given to them, which is the HOLY SPIRIT, (John 14:16, John 14:26, Acts 2:3-4), who now enables them to live a righteous life hence begin a relationship with God. Without these process, God can't relate with man as He desires (Colosians 2:12, Romans 8:8-10) .

Jesus Christ was and is still God's Proposition to man. The Proposition was proposed years ago and is still ongoing, even at this moment, the deal is still on, which is a good thing because you still stand a chance to accept Our Lord Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Personal Savior.

Sooner, I mean very soon, the deal will be closed and you'll have no place with the Father (God), is that what you want? Get involve, pick a side, a good side (Jesus), and let's begin working together with Him, the time is too short.

So People, it's up to you, to take advantage of this Proposition sent out to you by God. Every believer, ministers and preachers of God in the world today, are still making this proposition known to anyone out there, who hasn't believed yet or it's still indecisive but cares to listen, about this Proposition, that will soon close, to take advantage of it.

God's Proposition is still open and free to all who are interested to have a close relationship with God our Heavenly Father, to just agree and accept Jesus. If Jesus Christ accepted to play His part in Gods proposition deal, long time ago just to save me, others and give us the chance to have a lasting relationship with His Father, Our Father... So will I,

I have accepted this proposition years ago before now and I'm still running with it, it's not easy but I have the Holy Spirit, who has been enabling me overcome every hurdle along the way, thank you Jesus for the Holy Spirit.

Relationship with God is really indescribable, I can't explain it, there's no word to put it together, you just have to experience it for yourself. His love is soooooooo deep, complete, pure, safe and liberating. It's now left for you reading this message to agree and accept God's Proposition too.

My fellow believers of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray as you read, the Holy Spirit will open your eyes of understanding to know this truth and let others know as well.
